One of the functional assessments involves the balance evaluation. This gives us information about processing activities in various centers of the brain. Concussion may affect your balance, gait and cognitive function.

Based on our comprehensive exams, we find areas of dysfunctions affecting your balance, cognitive functions, gait. Even if you don't have symptoms, your function might be compromised. In order to resolve the symptoms and improve reduced functions, new connections, aka., neuroplasticity,  are encouraged through various stimulations appropriate for the specific area of the brain. One specific brain area often damaged in a concussion is the vestibular system. Injury to the vestibular system may cause dizziness and balance issues.
